Willie Floyd Coleman

Born:  October 2, 1934

 Entered into Rest : February 21, 2011

Our cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin  and friend, entered into the hands of His Almighty Lord and Savior on Monday, February 21, 2011 at his home, surrounded by his wife and 3 daughters after a courageous fight with prostate cancer.


Willie enjoyed spending time with his grandsons and doting on them every chance he got.  He loved talking sports and singing the gospel with his brother. He loved everyone he came in contact with.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer M. Coleman, Sr. and Retha M. Coleman; brother David Coleman; sisters, Carolyn Brown and Elizabeth Coleman; Grandparents George Coleman, Sr. and Eva Coleman; Aunt Susanna  Wilson; Aunt Mattie Smith; Uncle Carl Coleman; Uncle Jerome Coleman; Uncle George Coleman, Jr.; and Uncle L.C.; .  He is survived by his wife of  46 years., Mary Coleman; his three daughters, LaTrenda Easton (Ron), Sheri Pulis, and Shannon Coleman; his pride and joy – his beloved grandchildren, Derrion and Brannston Pulis; his godchildren, Briann and Broderick Price; his five sisters, Dorothy (William) Dunbar, Irma Jean Coleman, Hazel Coleman, Bettye Coleman and Rosa Coleman Toney; his three brothers, Rev. Homer M. (Bernice) Coleman, Jr., Thomas R. (Ruth) Coleman, Sr.; two Aunts Zola Rodgers and Leola Stanford; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and many loving friends.


Services will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2011, 11:00 am at St. Andrews AME Church.  Repast will be held immediately following the service at the church.  Interment will be private for family only.
