Is Your Loved One On Hospice?
I know how emotional it can be to hear these words, “It’s time to think about contacting hospice.” I experienced this with my own dad. However, what I learned was that on hospice, he received the very best care and probably lived longer than he would have without the watchful eyes of the caring hospice workers.
This is the time to start looking for a funeral home that understands your situation and will gently guide you through the process of making prearrangements for your loved one. At Heritage Oaks, we will record the information that is required by the government; this information will be kept in a secure place until our services are actually needed.
No payment will be required prior to their passing, but you will know approximately how much their end-of-life services will cost, and your hospice nurse will know who to call when the time comes.
You’ll receive a guidebook to help you record the important information to plan a funeral or memorial service and manage their estate. Thinking through these issues ahead of time will provide you with the peace of mind that comes from knowing things are in order and will be handled professionally.
We can meet in person at our location or handle everything virtually, by phone or Internet. You can request access to our on-line portal so you can enter the vital information at your leisure.
