Dwayne was such a sweet and brave man. I don’t know anyone who didn’t just love him. I told him once that he defined the definition of a “hero”, in respect to his attitude and strength of will as he battled cancer. He will be missed.

  2. To all the family of my dear buddy Dwayne. My condolances and prayers are with all of you. May God bring you comfort and healing as you go through this big void in your lives. I miss my buddy Dwayne but thank God for his memories that will still be with all of us that are left behind.

Dwayne was such an inspiration to the kids he coached. (our son being one of them for the Citrus Heights Dolphins). He showed them what it was like to never give up the fight. We are privileged to have known him. Coach Dwayne, you are in a better place, free of pain, and although I’m sure it’s so raw for your family and loved ones…we know that your memories will live on forever in their hearts.
